| My Frugal Life: Be My BFFF (Best Frugal Friends Forever)
BFFF? Yup, best frugal friends forever. These days, particularly in Michigan, frugality isn't just a chosen lifestyle, it's true survival! I'm over 60, disabled, widowed, with abso-posi-lutely no family; therefore, there's no one I can call upon in a pinch for an extra few dollars.

| My Frugal Holiday: Homemade Gift Ideas
Our family on my side has decided to have a completely "homemade Christmas", due to the economy. Since not all people like "crafty items", my daughters and I try and make items I already know they like (or requested) and will be used. I also make cloth gift bags that can be reused-easy to make from pillowcases or old jeans (that can them be used as a purse or tote bag)

| My Frugal Holiday: Planning Frugal Gifts
How to get through gift giving for the holidays without breaking the bank. I'm the first to admit I am one of the least organized people I know. That being said, when it comes to saving money I am a little less lazy than some people but don't get it confused with my terrible organization skills! When the weather starts getting cooler and the leaves are changing colours, it's always my cue to start preparing gifts for the holidays.

| My Frugal Life: Surviving On Social Security
I'm retired due to a disability, but because of the career I chose, I have no retirement fund and no pension and must live on Social Security alone. Therefore, frugality has become my middle name. Here in west Michigan, our supermarkets offer remarkable savings every week. They love to BOGO (buy one, get one free!).

| My Frugal Life: Serve Meat Kabob Style
I have found a way to cut costs on meats. If you have a large family, this will also help on costs of meats and vegetables. I went to an Adult Birthday Party and all the meat was served kabob style -"food on a stick" (skewer). Everyone made their own Kabobs - "food on a stick" and the "COOK" did the rest on a Bar B Q grill (also it can be done in the oven) and it only takes minutes to cook!

| My Frugal Life: A Frugal Christmas
Christmas time has always been a bad time for me. Being a single parent of two small children (they are grown now) money was always tight, sometimes even non-existence. But I remember my very first Christmas in my townhouse with my two babies. I as able to afford a few toys, but not decorations or a tree (my favorite part of Christmas. But do to some maneuvering and creativity, I able to pull off a pretty good Christmas.

| My Frugal Life: Living Simply In The Ozarks
13 years ago, my husband Jerry and I lived in Los Angeles. We owned a business and we were making a lot of money. We decided to give it all up and move to the Ozarks, where life is more simple. Now that we are living in the Ozarks, we are living on his SDI and my Social Security. It is so beautiful back here. The leaves change in the fall, and usually it snows in the winter.
