The Best Hot Chocolate MixI used all generic stuff and it still tasted great. Make sure to blend really well. I put mine through a sifter at least three times. To pass out I put into baby bottle inserts.

Make a Mobile With a Yogurt ContainerI don't throw anything away. The other night my Brownies were making mobiles. Instead of buying hangers, I used the empty yogurt containers. Punched holes around the bottom and they hung stuff from it. By Connie

Inexpensive Facial Oil BlottersIf you have extremely oily skin as I do, it can become expensive to purchase oil blotting papers. My hairdresser gave me a great tip: The tissue paper rings used to cover public toilet seats work just as well, at a fraction of the cost!

Watch Package Dates at the Grocery StoreLook at meat package date. If the expired date is the day you're in the store, ask the manager for a discount. They usually will mark it down, otherwise, they have to throw the package away & pay for the loss.

Uses Scissors for Chopping Green OnionsEven chopping green onions can make my eyes water. So instead of using a knife, I use my kitchen scissors to chop them. Just clean the green onions as normal and snip until you have the desired amount.

Frugal Spray For Flying PestsSpray flying pests with a solution of 1/3 rubbing alcohol, 1/3 vinegar and 1/3 water. This is the same solution I use to clean my hard floors. Spraying flying creatures with windex or hairspray also works. By Lynn

The Treasure In "Used"You've spent the entire day shopping for new furniture or accents for your home and yet nothing seems quite right. You come home exhausted and in ill spirits. You grab the newspaper to check out the ads and possibly something there will light up that spark in your eyes and put that spring in your step.

Removing Dye That Transfered From Denim Skirt To Boots?I have a lovely pair of tan leather boots, unfortunately I got caught in the rain, I was wearing a long denim skirt and the skirt rubbed against my boots and the dye from the skirt has stained my boots. It looks as if the top layer of leather has rubbed away and the exposed under layer has been stained by the dye from my denim skirt. I've been told by a local shoe shop that white spirit may remove the dye but they could not guarantee the outcome. Can anyone please give me some suggestions for removing the stain. The boots are new and I'd hate to have to throw them out.

Corrosion on Stainless Steel? My dear husband filled my stainless steel stockpot with water for the cat while we were gone for the weekend. Now, there's a white, crumbly corrosion around the rivets that join the handle to the stockpot. I've cleaned it off, but my question is this: Is it still okay to use the pot for cooking food? If not, what else can I do with it (short of throwing it away). It's not my best stockpot, but it's still a nice pot. Camilla
