Oatmeal and Raisin Breakfast CookiesThese breakfast cookies are just as good as a big bowl of oatmeal, just as healthy, and much quicker. They can be taken with you to have with coffee mid-morning if you're not a breakfast person.

 

Chicken Nugget Cacciatore BowlsFor a cheap, easy, fast and quick kid-friendly dinner, this is one of my standbys. Served with a salad, I can have a healthy dinner on the table in about 15 minutes.

 

Pasta PomodoroAngel hair pasta cooked al dente make this a delicious dish.

 

Hamburger Potato CasserolePreheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Brown hamburger and drain. Layer hamburger in dish. Add potatoes to 1 1/2 cups of cooked rice.

 

Barbecue Butter BeansIn a bowl combine the beans, brown sugar, ketchup, and onion. Transfer to a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with bacon. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours.

 

Root Beer CupcakesIn a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and allspice.

 

Ear Infection Treatment For DogsMy dog had a constant ear problem that even a round of antibiotics didn't cure. I tried every reasonable treatment recipe I could find on the net. I switched veterinarians and this guy knew the fix.

 

Shriveled Feet After SwimmingMy 6 year old granddaughter Jessica came down for a swim before she had to enter kindergarten. We really took advantage of the warm last days of summer for a long swim. Her feet were so shriveled I had to take a picture.

 

Microwave "Grilled" Cheese SandwichFor a fast "not grilled cheese" sandwich, toast bread and butter the outsides. Place sliced cheese between two slices of toast and microwave for 30 seconds to melt cheese.

 

Mickey (Dapple Dachshund)I think Mickey's around 4 years old. He's a dapple dachshund. My daughter got him and couldn't keep him. She was taking him to the animal shelter and they were closed. She came here and we've had Mickey ever since.
