Vegetable And Millet StewThis is an inexpensive hearty meal that is very filling! It is one of my own concoctions. I invented it while continuing to use up food I have stored at home.

 

Easy Lemon CookiesThis is one of the easiest cookie recipes ever. Only 3 ingredients and they are oh so delicious!

 

Dad's Baked BeansSoak beans overnight. Put on to boil in cold water with soda. Boil 5 minutes. Drain. Wash with boiling water. Drain. Cover with fresh boiling water.

 

Russian DressingMix all ingredients and shake well. Refrigerate.

 

Crab SnacksEasily prepared ahead and baked as the guests arrive.

 

Spring Carrot SaladThis is such a wonderful recipe for Spring!

 

Lazy Daisy CakeCream eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, and salt sifted together. Heat the butter and milk to boiling and add to mixture.

 

Parmesan Cheese Meatballs and Spaghetti SauceHeat olive oil in large chicken fryer. Add onion, green pepper, and garlic; cook until transparent. Blend in remaining sauce ingredients. Cover and simmer gently over low heat for 30 minutes.

 

Roasted Cod with Capers, Olives and TomatoesTomatoes, olives and capers served over cod make a delicious main dish.

 

Wildlife: Rhinoceros (Rietvlei Nature Reserve,...We went on a guided hike at the Rietvlei Nature Reserve, and were very fortunate to get within a few metres of one of nature's most amazing creatures. The day after the hike, two of the rhinos at the same reserve were killed by poachers.
