Tip: Using Thread to Untie Knots

I will often have knots brought to me to untie that are practically impossible to undo. I thread a needle with embroidery floss and get the string of embroidery floss between the knotted yarns. I will keep reinserting the needle and yarn wherever the knot is the most stuck. After a bit of pulling, everything is able to be untied.

Kitchen Implements OrganizedI was tired of digging through a drawer to find the kitchen tools I needed. Then I got the idea to buy those inexpensive magnetic cup hooks and attach them all around my hood vent. Now the tools are at my finger tips, it looks nice, and I freed up a drawer for something else. I used the drawer for all my spices.

Organizing WarrantiesTake your product warranty, directions and store receipt and slide them into a clear sleeve. Place in a three ring binder. Put a label on the outside of the binder; Kitchen appliance, electronics, Lawn care, computer, etc. You can place these binders in the room that goes with the label or in a book case.

Hide and Seek OrganizingI always think out of the box when it comes to creative storage. I purchased a diaper changing table as soon as I saw the top drawer. It's perfect to store my rubber stamps! The drawers underneath will hold all my supplies for card making and memory albums. It is in my living room but no one would suspect what's inside.

Mug Rack Hanger as Jewelry HolderMug racks are very useful. Not just in my kitchen, I hang it also in my room for my jewelry holder. Since I have been always had a collection of dangling earrings, necklaces, etc., keeping them in a well arranged place is so orderly and neat.

Empty Bottles for Displaying Watches or BraceletsI've always had a spray bottles, foam bottles for my hair, and colognes. Every time those bottles get emptied, I always keep thinking how to use it again or how it can help inside my home. I had this idea to used it as a watch organizer or a bangle organizer. That made things looks neat and arranged.

I have two or three needles threaded for each of the most popular colors, like black. At the end of a mending job I make sure my needles are threaded for any future job.

Storing Paint Chips for Easy Touch UpAs a result of buying the wrong paint, I developed a system for touch up paint. I now keep a paint chip card in each room. I also keep a duplicate of each in my calendar book as well, to have with me should I be shopping and see something to know if it would match or not.
