I always save my net vegetable bags and use them for a variety of things, like a safe dish, bathroom or even body scrubber. Or a kitty toy. For some reason, kitty loves to play with them!

Bedroom Window Draft BlockerI have made two scrap quilt tops and I had a lot of yarn, fabric, plus old clothes remnants left. I sewed a cylinder shaped bag, stuffed it, then I sewed it closed. I found a handle from an old Food City grocery bag, so I attached it to to the draft blocker, for ease in moving it.

Sachets from Perfume Sample in MagazinesI love the magazines with perfume samples. I make little sachets out of them by transferring the lovely scent onto small squares of tissue. I then put those scented squares into a crocheted bag. After scrunching the sachet, it smells so nice. I like keeping the samples of perfumes for as long as possible ;)

Uses for Plastic Mint ContainersI have an Army daughter who is deployed. Due to the nature of her job, she changes countries every 3 months. As a result, she must travel light and is limited to only 3 duffle bags to hold all her belongings. She also has me send her things that she can not find overseas.

Baggie DryerI have been washing and reusing baggies for years. I just don't see the reason to throw one out after its been used, unless it contained meat. Washing baggies out is easy, but drying them can take up space.

Soften Plastic Recycling to FlattenUsing a stove, hover your food plastic packaging over the heat for a short while, at a distance not to harm your hands. Let the plastic become soft. Put it onto a work surface and then, using a silicone pot mat, quickly flatten it. This routine has significantly reduced the bulk and I now only need to take it to the recycle centre every 2 to 3 weeks.
