13th Birthday Party Ideas?

I'm turning 13 in a couple of months, and I want to have a party. It can't be too much money either. I want to invite about 6 friends including boys. I don't know what I should do and it can't be over night. Can you please help me?

I agree that you should not have boys overnight. I don't know where you live, but you could go bowling, out for pizza,
go ice skating, or rent a movie. You may want to ask them and take a vote.

Here in the states painting classes are popular with all ages but a bit pricey. Perhaps you can provide the materials for an Art Night using watercolors, markers or even finger paints.

Suggest a theme for the art or even find a great magazine picture for everyone to copy in their own fashion. And of course pizza is the perfect food.

You should think about what you like to do, it's your birthday after all! Some ideas : playing video games (if you already own a gaming system), playing a sport outdoors (basketball, roller skating, football, volleyball, baseball, etc.), watching a movie and eating popcorn (I seem to remember watching a scary movie at a party at that age), do a silly game where the boys put makeup on the girls or girls put makeup on the boys (whoever does it best gets a candy bar), a scavenger hunt, or dance party. You certainly don't have to just eat cake and play pin the tail on the donkey. The most expensive thing at birthday parties is the food, drinks, and goodie bags.

The activity that you do together can be just about anything, as long as it's okay with your parents. Decorations and balloons can be found at a dollar store, even Wal-Mart now has cheap dollar decorations for parties. Candy for goodie bags can be bought from a dollar store or you could do something simple like a pack of microwave popcorn and soda for each kid with a note that says, " Thanks for coming to my party!" Cake can be made from an inexpensive box mix. Sodas, bottled water, chips and dip go on sale and can be store brand.
