September 27, 2009

Vintage ChairI recently bought some older chairs which are low to the floor. Anyone know how to go about increasing their height?

Google "chair raisers "or "chair risers" and see the devices which fit over the legs of the chair and add inches of height.

What kind of chairs are they, and how much do you want to raise them up? I had some wooden kitchen chairs that were just a tad too low. We bought some of those plastic things that look like big thumb tacks that you hammer into the legs to keep furniture from scratching the floor. It raised them about 1/4 inch, but that was enough to sit at the table comfortably.
