We can't get the pH level in our 5,500 gallon above ground pool correct. We have added pH increaser with no luck. Instead of the color in the tester being pink, ours comes up yellow. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Take a water sample to a pool store, such as Pinch-a-Penny. They will test your water for free and tell you what you need to do to get it balanced.
Besides what PDG has suggested; do you have a filter/jet for the pool to circulate the water? It's possible you're testing too soon after adding the chemicals because the water needs to circulate to distribute the chemicals for an accurate read.
I asked my sister for help as she owns a large pool too. Here's what she said:
About the pool PH, she needs to add the correct amount of PH up for the water amount her pool has. She might be adding too much, or over dosing it, which will bring the PH full circle again. That's the only thing that I could think of.
Maybe she should take a water sample to a pool supply place, to measure Ph, and also give them her pool dimensions to make sure she is figuring the gallons of water correctly, so she can dose it properfly for it's size
