Advice for a Puppy With Parvo

My puppy just passed away from parvo. It was the most depressing thing I've ever had to experience. I can't get the last day she was alive out of my head, it was so sad to see her laying there hopeless. I have two other pups from the same litter and another one is showing signs.

I took them all to the vet, but only one was treated. She is the one that passed, her name was Blackie. She was a cute little chihuahua. Well the vet did not treat the other two, because they were not showing signs yet, so I took them home.

The day Blackie passed, one of my other little pups (her name is Brownie) started showing signs, I've been treating her with the same meds the vet gave me for Blackie and I have been giving her pedialyte. She's going on her third day of not eating and once in a while she throws up, but I give her meds for that, yesterday she started drinking water on her own.

There are times when she looks good and she is a little active and then there are other times that she looks depressed and she just lays there. What else can I do to help her? Do dogs get fevers, and if so what can I do for her? I have one other pup named Boy, he seems to be just fine. Should I separate them? I separated Blackie from the other 2, but one still got sick. How long does recovery last and can they still get worse even if they look like they are improving? The pups are 5 months old. Can someone give me advice? I can't go through another loss.

Advice for a Puppy With Parvo

I would like to update on a recent post about my dog Blackie that passed of parvo. My other 2 dogs are doing very well. My pup Brownie is active and playful and is eating and drinking water. My other pup Boy is also doing very well. I hope they will never get sick again. Good luck to anyone dealing with a pup with parvo. With lots of love and patience they will overcome it. I would suggest you to try MMS on your puppy. It kills pathogens in humans and pets such as bacteria, virus, and fungus. It is highly effective, but not FDA approved. The inventor of MMS has cured over 75,000 persons with malaria in Africa and he says it does so in just 3 hours. I personally use it and know of many with chronic illness using it and give it to my 7 cats and 2 dogs weekly. Never a problem with it.

If you go to this link, it tells how MMS has cured Parvo in this dog.

My little brother's dog, a miniature Doberman, came down with Parvo. The doctor gave her a less than 20% chance to live. My brother gave her the MMS, and she got over the Parvo. It's a beloved pet. They all cried tears of joy. The vet said that the little dogs have an even harder time getting over Parvo than the big dogs. God bless. You can buy MMS and the activator on eBay. If you do buy MMS for you puppy, contact me and I will tell you how to use it.

You need 2 things to use MMS, MMS itself and an acidifier, either citric acid or fresh squeezed lemon juice. You can buy ready made citric acid from the above sellers. For dogs and humans, the normal dose is 3 drops of MMS for each 25 lbs of body weight. For more serious conditions, 2 - 3 times that amount can be used. However, only use the 3 drops per 25lbs each time you give it to your puppy. Example, if your dog is say 20 lbs, give 3 drops of MMS in the AM, if you are going to give 2 or more doses during the day, give only 3 drops for each dose and leave a couple of hours between dosing.

Here is how I prepare MMS and give to my pets. Place the number of drops (one pet at a time) in a glass, then add 5 drops of the acidifier (citric acid or lemon juice) for each drop of MMS. Swirl and let stand for 3 minutes (no less, no more), then add to the pet's food (canned food is best) and mix in. That is it. MMS is non selective in what it kills, bacteria, fungus, and virus. When my pets get tape worms, MMS kills them. If my pet had any kind of disease, MMS would be my first and most likely only choice.

You also should clean floors with bleach water and wash all bedding, bowls, leashes, collars with bleach and hot water. I would also spray any area outside the puppy goes to do his/her business with bleach, do so on a nice sunny day, no rain. Wrap your shoes in plastic grocery bags when you do this and dispose of the bags before you reenter your home.

Hope this is helpful, Jim in Jax

Advice for a Puppy With Parvo

Hello, I had a sick pekingese puppy that I had taken to the vet and walked out $200.00 later that day with a sick puppy that was going to die so I found a lady that sold natural antibiotics, one was called Parvaid and the other is called Vibactra. I started using them and she snapped right out of it. These antibiotics are not just for parvo they work on alot of things. They are very good for diarrhea problems.

Giving Pedialyte is very important to always give with a sick pet. They are the best products I have ever had and now I wouldn't ever be without them. I read the ladies post about not using natural products and I have no idea what she tried, but I've seen these two products work wonders over and over again. They can be purchased online. Really great products.

Another thing a vet will never tell you (probably because there is no money in it) when you have a sick animal that has stopped drinking and eating if you just take a eye dropper with a little milk in it and give it to them through out the day. It can work wonders especially if the dog has gotten into something that has poison in it. I am fully aware that most dogs and cats are allergic to milk, but just the same it still works. No kidding. I also always mix it with pedialyte.

If you have a pet that is running a fever or in pain give them just a little bit of liquid baby aspirin it really helps and is totally safe to use on your dog. That I learned from a vet. I couldn't help, but notice that several posts say their dogs got parvo soon after being vaccinated. Now that kind of makes you wonder if maybe the vaccine actually can also give it as well as prevent it. (11/14/2009)
