Antique Doll Value?

I would like to be able to price my antique doll for sale. She is blond haired with a snood that has flowers on it. Mary Todd Lincoln type look, bisque head and china/porcelain arms and part of her legs. She has the original clothes which are starting to deteriorate, there is a chunk of her dress missing in the back. Dealers have said that she is from the 1860s and worth about $1500-$1800. I would like to know what would be a fair price for today's market. We have not been able to identify a maker of this doll.

Usually if a dealer tells someone that an item is worth that much money they have some idea as to who the maker is.

eBay has a doll discussion board that is very good. You can send them photos and all info and they can usually tell you who the maker is along with an approximate value.
