Allow 1 lb. loin back ribs per person or 3/4 lb. country style per person. Trim excess fat. Place in Dutch oven for an hour.
Pour 1 (3 oz.) bottle liquid smoke and 2 cups water over ribs. Cover and steam over medium heat for 30 minutes while doing this. Make Bar-B-Q sauce.
For Sauce: combine in saucepan:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
Simmer for 15 minutes.
Bake: Arrange drained ribs in single layer in shallow baking pan. Spread with Bar-B-Q sauce. Cover and bake in 325 degree F oven until tender, about 1 hour.
