Another great warm-weather sandwich recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 can corned beef
  • 1 sm. bottle ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour

Directions:

Brown beef and onion. Add remaining ingredients to ground beef and onion. Cook over medium heat until warm. Serve on hamburger buns.

Servings: 24 sandwiches
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: varies - just until heated through Minutes

Great barbecue sandwich recipe! So easy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • Ad
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • salt
  • 1 1/2 cup ketchup

Directions:

Brown and drain hamburger. Add all ingredients. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add more water if mixture is too dry. Serve on buns with onions and pickles.

Servings: 8-12
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

A favorite sandwich of my husband.

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs. beef pot roast
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 (20 oz.) bottle ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

Cook meat 3-4 hours at 350 degrees F until tender. Cool and remove fat and bone and shred. Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan and simmer about 20 minutes. Add meat and simmer 1 - 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Servings: 15
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 60-90 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. corn oil
  • 1 rump roast (3-4 lb.)
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. meat tenderizer
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Directions

Brown bacon and onion in oil in saucepan. Remove with slotted spoon. Add roast. Brown on all sides. Add tomato juice, next 5 ingredients and onion and bacon. Bring to a boil; cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 4-5 hours or until roast pulls apart with fork. Skim pan juices. Stir in barbecue sauce. Serve on buns. 4 servings.

This is like Sloppy Joes. Brown beef with a little bit of water and salt. Add brown sugar, green peppers, onion, ketchup, and a dash of chili powder. The more you simmer, the better it gets. Serve on buns.
