| Buckle Your Purse in Your Seat Belt

To guard against purse snatching, when I buckle my seat belt I also buckle at least one handle of my purse into it. This also comes in handy when I need something out of my purse while I'm driving.

| Put Alarm Sticker in Your Window

If you don't have a house alarm, you can always put an alarm system sticker in your window anyways! It may help deter burglars. Also, a car alarm can be used, if you can sleep with your car alarm remote with you.

| Practice "Stranger Danger" With Your Children

My daughter plays a little game with my granddaughter that I think is smart. When I was visiting, she asked me to walk her to her school bus stop one morning. I did not have a clue what was coming but I was a proud mother of her grown daughter when I did find out.
