Uses for Leftover Coffee
Instead of reusing coffee grounds as some people do, I reuse the leftover coffee itself. It seems that nobody wants to drink the last cup or two in the pot in our house so, instead of throwing it down the sink, I blend it with the fresh pot.

Uses for Egg Yolks
So, you need two egg whites (instead of costly egg substitutes) but you don't want to throw out the yolks and be wasteful. What do you do?

Hamburger Tips - Making a Good Burger
When cooking hamburgers, whether on the grill or frying, never 'smash' the hamburger. Most people believe that removes grease from the hamburger, but that is not so.

Uses for Bread Heels
We use the ends of bread (heels/left over pieces) for bread pudding. We put the 'leftovers' back into a bread bag and refreeze them. After thawing them for the second time they are already a little 'dry' and perfect for bread pudding.

Saving Money on Lunch Box Food Items
Tips for saving money on food that you pack in a lunch box as suggested from the ThriftyFun community. To save money on snack items for lunches, I buy large bags of favorite chips or boxes of Ritz and put some in ziploc bags inside the lunch box.

Saving Money on Juice
Tips for saving money on juice as suggested from the ThriftyFun community. When the juice bottle is sitting too long, I freeze them into ice cubes for the kid's water or I add enough juice to the water to flavor, especially Concord grape juice.

Money Saving Hamburger Ideas
Tips for saving money on ground beef. Buy hamburger in bulk packages, divide into desired amount then put in freezer bags and mash flat. This is great for saving room in your freezer.
