Breeding Zebra Finches?

I have a new pair of zebra finches. They laid eggs in their food bowl, so I put a nest and nesting material in their cage and removed the old eggs. After two weeks, they have finally laid another egg, but in the food bowl again. How can I get her to lay in the nest, and what should I do about the egg in the food bowl?
