Working With Creditors
How do you deal with your creditors when you can't pay the full amount, if you have lost your job etc.? I try to explain, but most want money no matter what? I did get one card closed and a low payment plan, but only one would do this for me.

What Should We Do With a Truck That We Can't Afford?
We are upside down on a truck. We need to relieve ourselves of this monthly payment. It is too much for us to handle. Is the best way to turn in the truck and make monthly payments on the remaining balance? Does anyone have any ideas?

How we paid off 20K in 5 years on 22K averaged income.
By Mike and Tawra Kellam
In 5 years we paid off $20,000 of debt and medical bills on an average income of $22,000 per year. We didn't have $20,000 debt when we were married. My husband had $3,000 in credit card debts at the time.

Keep Getting The Paper Statements
Keep Getting The Paper Statements. Online bill pay is a good idea. But it is also a good idea to keep getting the paper statements too. You can do one of two things with them. Watch the balances disappear as you pay them on time.

Snowball Tip For Getting Out Of Debt
These tips are for getting out of debt. I came across the snowball tip when listening to Dave Ramsey, so I can't take full credit. First of all, create a budget that allows for a reasonable standard of living or else you won't stick to it. Then, focus on paying off the debt with the smallest balance by paying every last extra cent you have toward it.

Tips for Staying out of Debt
My way of not going too far into debt has always been the same: I don't spend more money than I have. I do use credit cards but never charge more than I have in my savings account...

Add A Few Dollars To Your Mortgage Payment
By Terry Rigg
Many of us don't believe that a few dollars can make a big difference. In a lot of cases that is true. But when it comes to mortgages or any other type of loan, a few extra dollars can save you Big Bucks.

Contentment Robbers
By Deborah Taylor-Hough
Someone recently told me that they were tired of being in debt and were ready to get their spending under control. But they were concerned about the fact that they still enjoyed spending money to pamper themselves. They were looking for inexpensive "luxury" ideas. I didn't necessarily have specific luxury ideas to suggest, but what I've found over the past several years is that my idea of what constitutes a luxury has changed greatly.
