Keeping Track Of Insurance Forms
After a few grueling hours filling out health insurance forms, my eyes crossed and I knew it was time to quit for the day. However, although I hadn't moved from my seat, I had misplaced a few pages of the forms! The next day, I had this idea.

Consumer Awareness When Choosing Doctor
Be a good consumer when looking for a doctor. We did not realize that, since the surgeon we selected for my husband's surgery is affiliated with a hospital, each visit was charged to us as an emergency room visit because the hospital does the billing.

Disability and Long Term Care Insurance
I have been pretty busy online checking ratings, reviews, etc. of disability and long term care insurances. I am wondering if any of you would care to share advice on Genworth, through AARP.

Getting Additional Health Insurance Coverage
Why should I buy Medicare in addition to my federal govt. health insurance if I am fully covered under Blue Cross Blue Shield when I retire? I live a very healthy lifestyle and have inherited excellent genes!

Health Insurance for College Student
Our daughter, despite being a full-time student, is being kicked off our health insurance as soon as she turns 22. The student insurance offered through her university looks like mediocre coverage with high co-pays for about $100/month.

Can I Find Better Health Insurance?
My husband's work is changing our insurance to a high deductible ($2600 for the family) insurance. It will start in Jan. I am looking for anyone who has gotten their own insurance that is better. If we go with this I will be terrified to take any of us to the doctors, as we would not be able to afford it. They keep taking away and making our health insurance go up with less and less coverage but they have not given him a raise in 3 years. However, I am thankful he still has a job (for now).

Catastrophic Health Insurance vs. Cobra
After my daughter's husband lost his job, the company wanted almost $1500 to COBRA his health plan for her husband and herself. After doing some research, they learned that they could save a tremendous amount of money by purchasing a catastrophic health insurance plan with a HSA. It had a $2500 family deductible with no coinsurance after the deductible was met.
