Drain 1/2 of the liquid off the lima and kidney beans. Place all three types of beans in a baking dish. In a skillet brown the hamburger and bacon. Drain the grease. Add the ketchup, mustard, brown sugar and chopped onion. Add this mixture to the bean mixture in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-45 minutes.
Brown hamburger and onion and drain fat. Brown bacon and drain fat. Mix with beans, ketchup, sugar, vinegar and liquid smoke. Bake in crock pot 4-9 hours starting on high to cook the shortest amount of time and low if taking longer to cook.
Place bacon in 3 qt. microwave dish. Microwave for 4-5 minutes or until crisp. Remove bacon and add onion. Saute' onion in bacon drippings for 3 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients with onion, mixing lightly. Microwave covered, at half power for 1/2 hour, stirring after 15 minutes. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving. Crumble bacon over top.
Fry the bacon. Let it cool and crumble it into pieces. Brown the hamburger and onion together. In a crockpot, on low, mix the kidney beans, lima beans, pork and beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and salt together. Add the bacon and hamburger and cook 4-5 hours.
Cook first 3 ingredients in large skillet until meat loses its color and onions are tender; drain off excess fat. Stir in next 5 ingredients. Combine last ingredients in 3 qt. casserole dish. Stir meat mixture into beans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes. You can garnish with strips of crisp bacon. You can also use different combinations of beans, if you like.
