Can You Use Sugar Contaminated By Ants?

July 25, 2013

spoonful of sugarI just opened a 25lb bag of sugar and the little creatures were inside and a trail coming to the bag from my front door! How does one dispose of that much sugar? Will it hurt the yard, flower beds, or storm drains? Certainly one shouldn't use it, argh!

Very easy to pick the ants out of the sugar and save it. The ants do not cause any problems in the sugar, they are just hungry for sweets. You must keep all sweet things well packaged!
