Canned Venison

Mason jars of venison.Canning venison is easy to do and oh so good! With this in your pantry you can have a meal in about 20 minutes!

Steps:

  1. Place 1 inch pieces of raw meat into jar, do not pack down.
  2. Leave at least one inch head space. Fill that with a few slices of raw onion and 1 tsp. salt.
  3. Wipe the top, put on lids and process 75 minutes in pressure canner at 10 pounds.

I have been canning venison for over 60 years. In some of your jars try a couple chunks of pork in a quart jar I think you will like it yes there is so many different kind of meals you can use canned meat.
