Caring for a Puppy Recovering from Parvo?

My puppy is 7 months old and and tested positive for parvo 9 days ago. He is eating chicken and staying hydrated and running around and being rotten as can be. My question is how long will he be pooping the parvo smell? Also can I try feeding him anything else other than chicken? I have fed him so much he's burnt out on chicken. Is there anything else I can try?

If he is eating and drinking, and not vomiting or having diarrhea or blood in his stool, he is well on his way to recovery. He also is energetic. It could take a couple of weeks for him to recover completely, and the smell will go away.

Go ahead and give him canned dog food or puppy chow softened with water.
