Before spending money replacing your worn windshield wiper blades, use a fine grit sand paper, about 10 strokes on the edge of the blade that touches the windshield and they will be just as good as new.

| How Many Quarts of Oil in '92 Chevy Tahoe?

How many quarts of oil does it take for an oil change on a 1992 Chevy s10 Tahoe? Whenever I go to the professional oil changer, my nephew tells me they over filled it by a half quart. I don't want to damage the engine and I know having too much oil in a vehicle can.

| New Fuel Pump Car Still Stalls

I have a 1998 Chrysler Sebring that stalls out when driving. I have got it pin pointed to no gas. I just changed fuel pump relay, what else could it be? Why, while driving does the fuel pump shut down?

| Check Date on "New" Tires
|
|
When we go to a store to buy tires, we think we are buying new ones, right? We may not be. As it turns out the date the tire is manufactured is on the inside part of the tire. If you check the date on the tires, you may find they are five years old or even sixteen! These tires are sold as new, because they have never have been used! Check the date on the inside of the tires; I know we will from now on.

| Is Car Wax Obsolete?

With all the problems associated with the application and removal of car wax, are the new acrylic conditioners the way to go? I have been told by several in the automotive detail business that old fashion wax is too outdated for today's new acrylic finishes.

| Use Heat To Remove Lug Nuts

Heat the lug nuts with a butane cigarette lighter. The heat causes the nut, but less so the bolt, to expand making it easier to loosen. And, of course, loosen nuts a bit before jacking car.

| Use Anti-Seize Lubricant on Lug Nuts
|

When changing a tire, put a small amount of Anti-seize lubricant on each wheel stud. The next time you have to change the tire, it will be much less difficult to loosen the lug nuts. Anti-seize lubricant is available at auto part stores.
