Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 lb. Monterrey Jack cheese
  • 3 whole chicken breasts or 6 halves
  • 6 slices ham
  • 3 pieces bacon, cut in half
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste

Directions:

Grate 1/2 the cheese. Cut the remainder into 6 sticks. Place chicken breasts on counter, skin side down. Top each with slice of ham and stick of cheese. Roll chicken around both, placing seam side down in baking dish that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Top each piece with bacon. Mix remaining ingredients and spread evenly over chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 1 1/4 hours.

Chicken Cordon Bleu

This one of my favorite dishes!

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 8 cheese slices, Swiss or cheddar
  • 8 ham slices
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions:

Debone and cut chicken breasts in two pieces. Pound to flatter. Put one ham slice and one cheese slice in flattened breast. Roll up and put in baking dish. Pour soup over top. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.

Servings: 4
Prep Time: 20-25 Minutes
Cooking Time: 60 Minutes

Crockpot Chicken Cordon Bleu

Crockpot stuffed chicken recipe with Swiss cheese and ham.

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 chicken breasts (pounded out thin) 
  • 4-6 pieces of ham
  • 4-6 slices of Swiss or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (can use any cream soup)
  • 1/4 cup milk

Directions:

Put ham and cheese on chicken. Roll up and secure with a toothpick. Place chicken in the slow cooker/Crock Pot so it looks like a triangle /_\ Layer the rest on top. Mix soup with the milk; pour over top of chicken. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until chicken is no longer pink. Serve over noodles with the sauce it makes.

Classic Chicken Cordon Bleu

Elegant, great tasting dish!

Ingredients:

  • 6 chicken breast fillets
  • 6 thin slices ham
  • 6 thin slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 envelope Shake and Bake coating mix
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten

Directions:

Pound chicken until flat. Top with ham and cheese. Roll up; secure with toothpick. Coat with Shake and Bake. Refrigerate, covered with plastic wrap, for 2-4 hours. Let stand at room temperature for 15-30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place chicken in shallow 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 30 minutes. Mix soup, sour cream, mayonnaise and egg yolk in bowl; spoon over chicken. Bake 15 minutes longer.

Chicken Cordon Bleu With Horseradish

Chicken

Ingredients

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin
  • wafer sliced Swiss cheese
  • wafer sliced ham
  • bacon slices ( slices per half chicken breast)

Directions

Take 1/2 chicken breast that has been pounded thin and put some of the ham and cheese on it and roll up. Place chicken roll on 2 bacon strips and roll again. Anchor with toothpicks. Repeat for every roll wanted. Place rolls on cookie sheet and place on wire rack in oven. Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour. Serve with horseradish sauce.

Horseradish Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. prepared horseradish
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper

Directions

Melt margarine in saucepan. Stir in cornstarch until dissolved. Stir in milk. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Sere warm on the side with chicken or beef.

Simple Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients

  • 1 package seasoned stuffing mix
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 Tbsp. dijon mustard
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese

Directions

Mix stuffing mix as directed on package. In 9x13 inch baking dish, place chicken breasts. Mix together soup and mustard; spoon over chicken. Spoon stuffing mix over all. Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes or until chicken is cooked. Place slice of Swiss cheese over each chicken breast. Bake 5 minutes longer. Serves 4.

Easy Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients

  • 2 cups stuffing mix for chicken
  • 4 small boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 4 slices thin-sliced ham
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Prepare stuffing according to package directions; set aside. Place chicken in 9x13 inch pan; cover with ham. Mix soup and mustard; spoon over chicken. Top with stuffing. Bake 25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients

  • 4-6 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 4-6 lean ham slices
  • 4-6 Swiss cheese slices
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • pinch salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. oil

Directions

Place each chicken breast between wax paper and pound to 1/4 inch thick. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each breast. Roll up each breast and secure with toothpicks. Mix the flour, bread crumbs, salt and pepper together. Roll each breast in the bread crumb mixture to coat. Heat oil in a skillet and cook chicken on both sides until done.
