| Craft: Personalized Snowmen
I bought these snowmen at an after Christmas clearance sale for about 50 cents each, and used colored markers to write my grandchildren's name on them. I will either display them next Christmas or give them to the grandchildren

| Craft: Gingerbread Houses
Here is a great tradition that our family has been doing for years now. It all started about 50 years ago when I decide to make a gingerbread house for Christmas. My first ones were fairly simple but over the years have gotten more complicated and quite intricate. Now, as was bound to happen, the kids and grandkids and even my great grandson have taken over.

| Thomas the Tank Engine Santa Shirt
This is so simple and involves no sewing! I first bought a green plain t-shirt at a craft store for $2.50 and then cut up a big Thomas from a pillow panel. Next I ironed on wonder under to the Thomas cut out and then peeled back the paper on the wonder under and ironed on the green shirt.

| Craft Project: Snowman Nitelite
This is a simple, eye-catching snowman that lights up. Take an empty jar or glass container (as you can see by photo, one is an empty Ragu jar, the other one I bought at a thrift store), clean outer surface with cotton ball and alcohol so paint will stick.

| Add Bows for a Christmas Touch
A nice holiday tip I ran across while surfing the net was to add holiday touches to items already around the house, like putting bows on figurines, etc. I think that's a great idea and will use some gratis ribbon I got to put red bows on some of mine.

| Craft Project: Advent Paper Chain
There are many ways to count down to Christmas. There are songs about it. Retail has take a cue from the season and transformed it into a list of shopping deals for the holiday season. Each year at church, we take the month of December off from creating crafts about the children's bible stories and make Christmas themed crafts. The Sunday before the month of December, we usually make an Advent. This year, it was a paper chain.
