Seashell Christmas Globe Ornaments
I live at the beach and constantly pick up interesting shells and rocks. I have been wanting to use them in an interesting craft and decided I would start looking for very tiny shells and very tiny rocks. I am taking clear glass Christmas ornaments and putting a little sand in the ornament and a few small shells and small rocks.

Making Ornaments from Can Lids
You can make free Christmas ornaments and other year round decorations with lids you've taken off the tops and bottoms of soup, tuna, juice and other cans with the can opener. Just use a permanent marker to draw out a flower (or whatever) and then cut it out with Tin Snips.

Reuse Gift Cards For Tree Decorations
Here's a fun and cute way to use those gift cards given from retail stores. We all receive them in so many themes and characters that are so pretty. Just use a hole punch in one corner and hang them from your tree as decoration.

Soda Can Rudolph Ornament
This Rudolph ornament is made from a soda can. Bend the top of the can so the opening is in front and looks like a mouth. The top of the can is now the bottom of Rudolph's face. Spray paint brown. Paint on eyes and inside of mouth, let dry, then spray on a sealer.

Craft: Chinese "Double Happiness" Ornament
This is a modern version of the Chinese "Double Happiness" icon. It is considered good luck to display it in your home. It makes a nice Christmas ornament when cross stitched with black thread onto red 11 gauge material.

Every year my kids and I make a handmade ornament for their tree and one extra for the family tree. This is what we came up with this year.

Craft: Doily Fan Ornaments
You'll want to make several of these beautiful Victorian fans for your tree. Doilies come in a variety of colors, so choose one that works with the color and theme of your tree. The metallic silver and gold ones reflect the lights and are very pretty.

Here are two easy homemade ornaments. The snowman was made from a shotgun shell. Empty of course. It has a little felt cowboy hat that was purchased.
