Start Buying Christmas Gifts In January
On the average year, my husband and I have 16 Christmas gifts to buy for family. To eliminate stress, I start buying for Christmas in January. Basically every 3 weeks, I buy a gift. This is also a huge help on the budget.

Christmas Gifts for Grandchildren
Any suggestions for gifts for 13 grandchildren of a Nana living on social security? I usually like to make something, like ponchos for girls and tied blankets for the boys, but don't have the stamina for that this year. I'm anticipating a hip replacement after Christmas. Please send any ideas that you might have that would not be labor intensive and a cost of $20 each or less.

Filling a Gift Bag
Keep Filling the Gift Bag. For one of my friends that I exchanged gifts with last year, I bought a Holiday Gift bag about the size of a small shopping bag, and picked up lots of little treasures from the dollar store like old classic movies on DVD, office gadgets for her computer area, etc.

Family Gift Exchanges
Family Gift Exchanges. My brother, sister and I (and families) exchange at Christmas. We set a dollar amount per family. Every year, we know which sibling's family we will have (I have my brother one year, my sister the next and then back to my brother).

Stockpile Gifts Buy Ahead at After Holiday Sales
I put the gifts in a box that I wrap in a netural gold, silver, blue or red shiny paper so when it is put in the storage area I can easily identify it throughout the next year. I label the boxes. For The childrens box I call it something like "The Treasure Chest" or "Treats for The Sweet"...

Gift Certificate to Grocery
One of the best Christmas gifts we ever got was a gift certificate to a local grocery store. It was a time when things were particularly hard for us, money-wise, and considering our situation, was a very special gift...

See's Candy Gift Certificates
See's candy gift certificates can be bought from some charitable groups, in the stores, or online. These are nice to have on hand and to give as gifts because they don't have any expiration date! Even if the See's price per pound goes up, the gift certificate is still good for 1 pound or so. I sometimes will go into See's with a gift certificate and pick out 2 half-pound boxes of just my favorites when I need a lift. By Linda
