Craft Project: Decorative Painted Glass Bottle
When I wanted to paint some glass for a gift to a friend, but didn't have any money, I discovered that acrylic paint and varnish work pretty well.

Craft: Give "Joy" For Christmas
Instead of plain ol' Christmas cards, I wanted to make something small for everyone at work. I made 50 of these and they were quick, CHEAP and easy! It was about $7 for 2 bags of the Almond Joys, I had some card stock at home and printed the little cards out on my computer! I wonder what my co-workers will think when they see these little treats on their desks in the morning!

Easy Scented Pinecone "Firestarters"
Because pinecones can be picked up off the ground at this time of the year this is a very inexpensive holiday gift for your coworkers, friends or family. Scented pinecones can be used as fire starters or just put into a pretty bowl or by the fireplace to make the room smell nice.

Craft: Casserole Dish Covers
You can make nice casserole dish covers from two placemats. These make nice Christmas gifts for friends or family. All you need is two matching fabric placemats, quilted, or unquilted . First you match up the placemats , then sew around three sides leaving one small side unsewn.

Craft: Personalized Hand Towels
Cheap and easy Christmas gift. Take a new hand towel and some scrap fabric. Sew the scrap fabric to the hand towel and you have a personalized gift. This came about because I was too cheap to buy a Thomas the train towel for my son.

Craft Project: Pre-made Scrapbook
The perfect homemade gift idea! Pop in your favorite movie and have fun making this craft! Whoever you give it to will appreciate the time you put into it and the uniqueness of the gift. This will make it easy for them to showcase the holiday photos that tend to get tucked away and never looked at again.

Trinket Bowl from a Vinyl Record
Another thrifty present for Christmas is to take some old vinyl albums or records large or small and make them into trinket bowls. Place the vinyl on top of a smaller glass bowl and put in the oven for about 5 minutes till the vinyl starts to droop into the bowl.

Craft Project: Jingle Bell Scarf
By Debra Frick
Christmas is coming! and it is time to start thinking about those presents we want to make for our family and loved ones. I have young adults who are very into the latest fashions and I too have noticed that one of the latest trends is away from the thick wide scarf that we all grew up with to a small thin scarf that is very long.

Craft: Christmas Tote Bag
This is a Christmas tote bag made of quilting scraps. I made this tote bag from two squares of 30 by 30 inch material with batting in the middle. You then quilt them together and put a binding around the raw edges.
