Cleaning Footprints on Matte Finish Vinyl Flooring?

For 2 yrs have been cleaning a wood looking vinyl floor with a matte finish with a Shark steam cleaner with great results. 2 months ago foot prints no longer will come up. I have used vinegar and misc other products just on the prints with no luck. I would appreciate any and all suggestions to remedy this!
