I purchased a brand new, synthetic leather jacket with an inside lining from a "New Look" store. The jacket smells of fish, I did not notice this in the shop. It's a very unpleasant, strong smell that seems to have gotten worse as the past few days have gone by.
To get the smell out of shoes, I put a mixture of baking soda, baking powder and cornstarch in a pair of cotton socks and stick in the shoes overnight. It works like a charm.
My cat urinated on a some clothes in my bathroom. I put it in my washer, now my washer smells like cat urine. When I wash anything else it comes out with that smell. Does anyone know what I can use to get the smell out? Please help.
I have a used pair of little girl's Gymboree espadrilles. They have a pretty floral (cotton?) print bow over the top of the foot area that has quite a bit of dirt on it, as does the heel of the shoe.
To get moisture or stink out of shoes, fill two old socks with baking soda and knot at the ends. Shove deep into the shoes and let them sit overnight. The shoes should be dry or very close to dry and any odor should be gone!
