| Using Vinegar in the Laundry
I was told to add white vinegar to the rinse cycle of my wash, but will my laundry smell like vinegar once done?

| Cotton Blanket Stiff After Drying
My boyfriend accidentally dried my 100% cotton winter blanket on high heat instead of low heat like it says on the tag. Now it's as stiff as cardboard. I've tried shaking it out, but it's still very hard and stiff. Is it ruined forever or is there a way I can re-fluff it?

I just bought beautiful hand towels from Williams Sonoma Home for my guest bathroom. They are waffle weave on one side, plush terry on the other and linen colored.

| Sample Laundry Detergent Stain Treatment
I received a small sample bottle of laundry detergent. I had a stain on a shirt so I put a little detergent directly on the spot and laundered as usual. The stain came out and I have been refilling the little bottle ever since.

The water we have coming into our home has rust in it. It is city water. It created orangish spots on our clothes (many friends suffer this same problem). However, the spots appear on browns, grays, and some yellows. They do not appear on reds, pinks, or greens.

| Use Fabric Softener in the Dryer
Purchase your favorite fabric softener, pour into a fine mist spray bottle, and mist 3-6 times in your dryer for the freshest smelling clothes ever. A large bottle will last for months and hundreds of loads.

| Reusing Dryer Sheets
This is another tip using fabric softener sheets. To get a better value from them, reuse them. A sheet can be used four times. Each time you use one, cut a bit off a corner. Toss the sheet after the fourth use.

| Removing Lint from Clothing

OK, so I did the unthinkable. I put new towels in with a pile of clothes and all the fluff from the towels came off and is now abundant all over my clothes. Apart from removing the fluff with cellotape, are there better, quicker ways to remove the fluff?

| Remedy for Stinky Shoes

To get the odor out of stinky shoes and sneakers, wad up newspaper and stick in the shoes. Leave several hours or overnight. Odor gone and it is a green idea!
