Making a Peek-a-boo Slip
Does anyone knows how to make a peek-a-boo slip like the ones at David's Bridal? My sister told me she changes the look of her black dress just by adding the slip and a ribbon around the waist. Thanks for your help!

Make Last Year's Dress Into This Year's Blouse
When my daughter was in grade school, I couldn't afford new school clothes every year, so I purchased an A-line (no waistline) dress pattern with the option of cap or long sleeves and three neckline options.

Making A Skirt From Neck Ties
I have a lot of men's ties and want to make a skirt, but when I sew them up, they twist and are not equal. Am I doing something wrong? How do I make a skirt from ties? Thanks.

Homemade "No Show" Socks
Make your own "no show" socks. Cut the panty part off the pantyhose. Stretch the open end of the cut off stocking over your foot. Cut off the excess stocking off, leaving a seam allowance of 1/4 inch.

I Made a "Clown" Shirt from Leftover Fabrics
Clown Shirt from Leftover Fabrics. My kids are grown, in fact, I am a greatgrandmother. When my kids were school age and younger, I made a lot of their clothes. Some leftovers went into quilts. . .

Design Your Own Clothes
My daughters like to 'design' some of their own clothes, which often means they will be either cutting or adding something to their clothing. I have a hard time watching them alter a pair of jeans I just paid $50 for, so, I started going to the local thrift stores to buy newer looking, or vintage looking clothes.

Remaking a Dress into a Skirt
If the top part of a child's dress doesn't fit, but the skirt part does, you can cut off the blouse portion, sew up the back part of the skirt, hem the waist area, insert elastic and make it into a skirt.

Flower Embellishment for a Plain Dress
I would like to make a flower embellishment for a plain dress I purchased. Do you know where I can get a free pattern or a How To page? It will be made from the hem cut off the dress to shorten it so it's the same fabric.
