Felt for Securing Clothes on Hangers
If you're tired of finding clothes on the closet floor that have fallen of hangers, here is a simple solution. Use a sticky felt circle on each side of a hanger to help clothes stay in place. This works really well for silky, slippery items.

Keep Clothes Looking New With Lint Shaver
A friend gave me a lint shaver. It is battery operated and takes all those little pills of fuzz off of clothing. I keep it in the laundry room and use it all the time.

Resizing a Large T-Shirt
My son had a large tee shirt he no longer wanted. I wanted to wear the shirt but it was way too big for me so I shortened the hem then rolled up the sleeves and did a fold over of about 1 1/2 inches on the shoulder seam.

Use Thrift Store Mini Skirts as Bargain Belly Bands
I wear a stretchy mini skirt around my middle underneath my clothes! I liked the idea of wearing a 'body' under my clothes but they would need washing everyday like regular underwear. They are expensive too.

If you have kids and you know their winter pajamas won't fit them next season, cut them down for the spring/summer. Cut the pants into shorts and the shirt into short sleeves or even tanks.

Use Clip-on Earrings as Accessories
Just because money is tight doesn't mean you can't be "hip"! I had been admiring the cute costume rings that are all the rage right now, but no way was I going to spend money to buy one.

Store Seasonal Clothes With Dryer Sheets
I use dryer sheets (such as bounce, etc) to keep my out-of-season clothes smelling fresh and ready to wear. By simply placing a dryer sheet on the hanger, your clothes will be ready for you to wear when the seasons change once again.

Children's Plastic Coat Hangers for Undergarments
I buy children's plastic coat hangers to hang my t-shirts and camisoles. The indentations on the hanger keep the straps from falling off the hanger. Maybe I'm just lazy, but I do enjoy saving time, and I no longer get flustered when the tees fall off the hangers.
