Peanut Butter Recall Update
The recent peanut butter salmonella outbreak is very widespread and several major brands are affected. Please discontinue eating any peanut butter products until verify whether they are part of the recall. Here is the information from the FDA.

FDA Warns Consumers Nationwide Not to Eat Certain Types of Raw Red Tomatoes

The Food and Drug Administration is expanding its warning to consumers nationwide that a salmonellosis outbreak has been linked to consumption of certain raw red plum, red Roma, and red round tomatoes, and products containing these raw, red tomatoes.

Nutri-Foods Recalls Organic Sesame Seeds Natural - Unhulled Because of
Nutri-Foods, Inc. (Nutri-Foods) of Royal Oak, Michigan, is recalling its .50 pound packages of Organic Sesame Seeds Natural - Unhulled due to possible salmonella contamination, an organism, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Cheese Recall in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana
Routine surveillance by the Indiana State Board of Animal Health's Dairy Division revealed high levels of staphylococcus aureus (or "staph") in several raw milk cheeses manufactured by Grassy Meadows dairy of Howe, Ind. Because of the facility's location, consumers in Ohio and Michigan, as well as Indiana, should also check their refrigerators for these items.

Jeno's And Totino's Frozen Pizza Recall
General Mills is voluntarily recalling approximately 3.3 million pounds of frozen meat pizza products because they may be contaminated with E. coli. Jeno's and Totino's brands are affected.

Kraft Foods Recalls Baker's Premium White Chocolate Baking Squares Because of Possible Health Risk
This product may be contaminated with Salmonella, (a bacterium that causes foodborne illness).

Symptoms of foodborne illness caused by Salmonella include fever, diarrhea and abdominal cramps. In persons with poor underlying health or weakened immune systems, Salmonella can invade the bloodstream and cause life-threatening infections.

Campbell Voluntarily Recalls Campbell's Chunky Baked Potato With Cheddar & Bacon Bits
Campbell Soup Company is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of 18.8 ounce cans of "Campbell's Chunky" Baked Potato with Cheddar & Bacon Bits because they may contain pieces of hard plastic that present a choking hazard and may cause injury if swallowed. Three consumers have reported minor injuries in and around the mouth.

Ground Beef Recall Expanded Across U.S.
The Topps Meat Co. on Saturday expanded its recall of frozen hamburger patties to include 21.7 million pounds of ground beef that may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria that sickened more than a dozen people in eight states.

Dole Recalls 'Dole Hearts Delight' Packaged Salads
Dole Fresh Vegetables, a division of Dole Food Company, Inc., today announced that it is voluntarily recalling all salad bearing the label "Dole Hearts Delight" sold in the U.S. and Canada with a "best if used by (BIUB)" date of September 19, 2007, and a production code of "A24924A" or "A24924B" stamped on the package.
