Make a Photo Christmas Keepsake Ornament
I had photo made on transparency film at Kinkos. Then I cut it out in a 3" circle. Rolled it up and inserted into the top of clear glass ball. It flattens out by itself. I added some angel (or glitter) hair, poking it down with a pencil, on each side of the film. Then I replaced the top, added some "snowflakes" the names and date with a white marker. These are our two oldest great grandsons. Have to make another since there are 3 of them now.

Humanitarian Aid Mission in Afghanistan
I used a longer focal length of my lens to isolate the subject, and black and white to take away color distraction. I mostly use 80-200mm Nikkor to blur out the background and it also gives me the opportunity to shoot from far away. The Afghan kids in this photo were reaching out to US Army soldiers, who handed out toys on a Humanitarian Aid mission in Afghanistan. Nikon F5, Fujifilm 800, 24-85mm Nikkor. Afghanistan, 2005.

Kokoa Girl "Prettier than a Black-Eyed Susie"
This is a photo we would like to enter of our Kokoa Girl. Our baby just celebrated her 3rd birthday and is "Prettier than a Black-Eyed Susie"! Besides her beauty she has a personality that would melt your heart for sure.

Fabric Storage and Organization
Since I have been quilting I always purchase my fabric on sale and believe you me when I find a sale I purchase a lot of fabric. I was having a hard time finding a place to "store" my fabrics. I didn't want it just stuffed in plastic storage bins because I would forget what I had.

Beautiful Garden Path
I have 3 teenagers and a 9 year old. We went rock "hunting" and searched all over for free wood chips. Filled the truck load after load and layed the chips down on top of plastic. And made this garden path on the side of our home. We trimmed some trees and made trellises. The only thing we purchased for the garden path was a birdbath I got for Mother's Day and some flats of flowers...we love it. The best compliment I received was "Dang Tracey, I feel like I should be paying to walk on your path" : )

Cookie Cutter Decor
Here's a way to display my cookie cutters. Some are gifts, some are ones I bought, some are my mom's, and some are my grandmother's. I can't tell you what wonderful memories they all hold for me, as I can remember why I bought or received every one. I get lots of compliments on them, too!

Planning A Kitchen Shower
By Sharon Shearer
A very useful shower for a Bride-to-be is a Kitchen shower. This will help her stock her kitchen with small appliances, utensils, kitchen towels and recipes as well. It is helpful to know if she will decorate with a certain theme so you can make note of it on invitations.
