Craft: Taggie Baby Blanket
Sometimes the perfect gift is right in your own home. I re-purposed the best parts of a flannel nightgown, a fleece throw, and a satin pillowcase (all of which I already had) to create this "taggie" blanket for an upcoming baby shower.

Craft: Baby Shower Diaper Cake
I made a very nice diaper cake for much less than the others I usually make. I bought the polka dot ribbon for $1 at the dollar tree. The two other ribbons at Big lots for $2 for a package of 4 different ribbons. I used just $1 worth of that.

Baby Footprint and Poem
I found this footprints poem on the Internet. I did a foot print of my daughter's foot, then once it dried, scanned it to the computer. I then used a graphic program, added the poem and pasted the footprint.

Making a Toy Bag out of Receiving Blankets
When my son was a baby, he had lots of receiving blankets. As he grew older, of course, they weren't needed. I gave away several, then one day I needed a toy bag to take to Grandma's house.
