Save your candle stumps! Here is an easy craft project to reuse the leftover wax from burned out candles. We use candles as secondary heat when the room is cold. They are also useful when the power is out.
This is the kind of candle you can burn, then pour on and use as a massage oil or for rough spots like elbows and knees. Soy wax never gets extremely hot so you won't burn yourself! Great Gift for Valentine's Day or Anniversary.
Take an empty jar (I used the 4 oz.), wash well and remove label. It doesn't matter if all the glue is off as long as all the paper is gone. I used a sponge brush to apply Elmer's glue all the way around the jar, but not the grooves where the lid went.
Take 8 inch clay pot saucer, take foam and cut to shape of saucer cut out whole in center the size of the jarred candle you will be using. Glue done foam inside saucer, pin or glue in faux grass (or ivy or anything greenery), simply place candle in middle.
Add a little candlelit sparkle to your evenings with this easy-to-make candle holder. Use the marker to trace the bottom of your glass candle holder on felt. Cut out your felt shape and glue it to the bottom of the glass candle holder.
Candlelight dances and flickers in these old fashioned candles, reminding you of the Christmases of yesteryear. A bow of raffia or string of bead wired around the rim add a finishing touch if you like. A wonderful way to reuse jelly jars from all that summer canning!
