Crock Pot Strap Pattern
A few of the newer crock pots come with a strap to hold the lid in place, but mine didn't. One day my crock pot turned over in the car, that's when I decided to crochet my own strap.

Craft Project: Old Clothing Rag Rug
I crocheted this small rag rug out of 2 nighties, 2 tee shirts and a pair of knit shorts. It measures 28 inches in diameter. I love working with old knit clothing because the edges do not fray.

Craft Project: Crocheted Carnations
You can crochet this and many other carnations with just a few crochet stitches and some fake foliage stem ware. I made this one for a sample for here, but have also made roses for wedding and anniversary boutonnieres.

Craft Project: Crochet Jellybean Duck
This cute duck is fun for Easter or for anytime. She is crocheted with 4 ply yarn, with a drawstring under her tail. Fill her with jellybeans, and when you squeeze her tummy, she lays "jellybean eggs".

Craft Project: Crochet Kitchen Towel
Crochet several of these and put them in handy places throughout your kitchen; on the oven door and the refrigerator handle are the best places for these. My version is different from most since I don't cut the towel in half, but fold it and use the whole towel.

Craft: Crocheted Snail Pin Cushion
With scrap or regular yarn, you can make a nice little pin cushion. I collect snails, so this was a natural for me. You will need: Scrap yarn, hot glue, plastic canvas or other small bit of plastic that is flat and smooth. Yarn has natural oils that keep your pins sharp.
