Think ahead for wonderful Holiday gifts. Each spring and summer I used to go around to my friends' gardens and pick the flower petals up from the ground. Take the flowers or petals home and lay them out on newspaper on the floor and leave to dry.
Mothers day gift made with flowers and pot. Take the foam and push into pot. I used a tin pot but you can use any kind you want. Glue item of your choosing on to one end of the dowel then push into foam any where you want.

Coffee filter flowers colored with bingo dabblers. Lay out some plastic table cover (drop cloth or old shower curtain). Lay out 6 round coffee filters. Dab filters with a couple of bingo dabber colors. Take spray bottle with water in it and gentle spritz the filters.
Use these plant pokes to dress up and personalize your arrangements or potted plants. Spell out a word, connecting the letters at various angles (to resemble handwriting) with hot glue. Attach word to skewer with hot glue.

We needed some cute vases for a baby shower, but funds were running low. so, I bought some Monetta Luxury cream wafer cookies, $1.00 a can at The Dollar tree. I removed the cookies (and served them at the baby shower).
