I want to buy a mix of fat quarters for a quilting friend for Christmas. I have no idea what I'm doing. How many fat quarters should I buy in the same pattern to make the gift useful?
A couple of friends and I make kids quilts for the hospital. We have been buying our fabric at Walmart which is less than half the price of other fabric stores. We have found out that Walmart is discontinuing fabric in all their stores.
I remember seeing at Arts and Crafts a pillow that you could open up and it was then a blanket or throw for a chair or couch. Any ideas on how to make one?
I made a quilt from squares of blue flannel (with white dogs in the pattern) and white flannel. I washed it and dried it first. When I was done sewing it I washed it again and the blue ran in to the white squares.
