I use my leftover soap to make homemade laundry soap. In a large container, I use a half gallon cup with a handle, fill with very hot water, shave the leftover soap into water, add 1/2 cup washing soda (available in most stores) 1/4 cup of 20 mule team borax.
Years ago someone told me about making liquid soap from leftover bars of soap. Something about putting it in the blender I think. Does anyone know what to do with all these small remains of soap bars?
I am looking for an old fashioned soap recipe using lye and lard but no oil. Many recipes I Googled had olive or other oils. I misplaced a simple recipe I had using only lye and lard. Thanks for any replies I receive.
