Frugal Valentine's Notebooks
I have eleven grandchildren, ages 13 years to 3 months old, so even buying cards for holidays can become expensive. I love to send out something small to each child. In January, I scored a cheap alternative to Valentine's Day cards at my local grocery store.

Here's a gift I made for a friend for this Valentine's Day. I purchased an inexpensive box from the craft store and painted it with salmon pink acrylic paint

Sponge Hearts
This is a quick and easy valentine gift. I took a sponge and cut it into a heart shape (you can do any shape you like). Then I took different color acrylic paints and put them on to one side of the sponge.

Here is a Valentines for teachers or someone special. I saw in a magazine where they did this with a paper cup but I decided I am using a mug with paint that can be used on glass.

Recycling Valentine Cards
I've been saving used and unused Valentines for several years. Now I can cut out parts that I like to use, and put them on homemade Valentines. When my granddaughters didn't use all the her cards in a child box, I kept them. Glued them onto blank cards. They make a cute card to send to young and old alike!

Making a Kissing Ball for Valentine's Day
Anybody know how to make a Kissing Ball for Valentine's Day? I saw one in a Better Homes and Garden magazine but it calls for some stuff I don't have. I thought it would be cute to make for my family as a Valentine's Day thing like the mistletoe for X-mas. Thanks!
