Frugal Wedding Flowers
Here is an alternative to florist prices for flowers. While I don't have a photo I am sure you will get the idea! My son is getting married in April 09 and the wedding is on the cheap. What I did for bouquets is the following: took a toilet paper roll inserted Styrofoam to fit snugly. Then I inserted silk flowers on stems into the Styrofoam, arranged as needed, as well as, inserted Baby's Breath and greenery under the flowers.

Homemade Columns for a Wedding Reception
Make your own columns for a wedding reception. We are using the cardboard tubes from our nearest carpet store, painting them white, and zip tying 3 of them together, then decorating with tulle and twinkle lights. The only cost is the tulle and lights!

Making Wedding Invitations With Free Fonts
You can make your own wedding invitations look stunning (just as stunning as some letterpress stationery) by using carefully selected fonts and dingbat illustrations.

Create a Kids Table at Your Wedding Reception
If you are planning on having "kid tables" at your reception, be sure to substitute kid friendly centerpieces and favors. A basket of crayon flowers and coloring books not only look great but will give the children something to do during those times when it is not appropriate for them to be running around and playing.

Pattern For A Wedding Heart
Looking for a pattern of a wedding heart that can be given by my mother to her grand daughter on her wedding day. She would like to be able to have their name and wedding date on it. It can be sewn, crotched, knitted or made with lace ribbon.

Toilet Paper Roll Favor Boxes
Favor boxes were made from toilet paper rolls. We cut them in half and folded in the bottom, creating a cup. Then we painted them all white inside and out so the card board would harden. Then I glued fake rose petals on the outside two on each side. Then I glued a fake one inside the roll in the bottom. They turned out pretty nice. We are placing pre-wrapped mints in them at each place setting.

Plastic Canvas Bird Candle Holder
I had a pattern for a 3-D bird that my daughter wanted decorating the hall at her wedding. I took it a bit further and redesigned it to make candle holders for the tables.

Country Wedding Background
Here's an eyesore made into a photo op. This ugly storage shed was in the yard where I had my wedding. With some hay bales, country collectibles and fresh cut sunflowers I had a great background for pictures. It tied in just right with my country wedding theme too!

Buying Supplies for Bridesmaids Dresses
All my daughter's bridesmaids were in college and on a tight budget. My daughter and I went to JoAnn's to pick out and purchased the patterns of our choice on 99 cent day. We collected coupons from friends and used them for zippers, thread and other notions.
