My 14.5 Craftsman won't run without my foot on the clutch/brake. How would I get this to work?

You're having a problem with gas flow or one of the cables to the brake. You'll need to check your brake cable and also the flow of gas to your carburetor. Also check under the mower for the pulleys and make sure they are running correctly or working freely. If not change the pulleys and cables to make sure they can turn and engage properly.
