When I was a young girl someone taught me how to crochet a doll's purse that could transform into a doll bed. I would love it if someone remembers this pattern and would share it with me. I'd love to make one for my grand-daughter. Thanks!
I went to a search engine and typed in your request: crochet a doll's purse that transforms into a doll bed. I found the following website: http://scribbit.blogspot.com/2009/0 ... w-to-make-dolls-bassinette-from.html
Thanks, MCW. This is a very nice one, but different than what I remember. Mine didn't have the plastic bottom, it was completely crocheted. I didn't think to Google it. I'll have to see if there are other patterns. If not, I'll use this one. Thanks so much!
What a sweet idea. I would love to hear the feedback you get if that is possible.
Look up Purse/Cradle or Cradle/Purse and you'll find it. I just made several for my grand daughters.
This is the one I make.
Here's one without the plastic bottom. http://beadedsocks.net/CradlePattern.html
There are several listed on this site: http://crotiques.com/toys.htm
And another one from the Archives.
