We have a brown couch, turquoise and gold rug, and medium toned hardwood floors in our living room. What color curtains would look best? It's a big window (almost 8ft wide).

A very light version of that gold
I was thinking a lighter version of the blue.
Maybe something with a mixture of a brown, a lighter shade of blue and a little green and/ or a light shade of the gold or yellow would tie the colors together in an attractive way. I'm thinking a contrasting print like stripes, chevrons, or circles or something that would in effect compliment your rug but yet round out the color in the rest of the room.
You can never go wrong with cream or ecru colored curtains. A pattern might overwhelm the room since the window is so large.
