Deli Turkey Chili

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 190 Posts
I often make chili with ground turkey. However, we recently had some leftover sliced turkey from a wedding reception. I came up with this quick chili recipe when trying to think of some ways to use up some of the leftover deli sliced turkey.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 3 cans beans (I used chili beans, seasoned black, and chipotle pinto), including liquid
  • 4 cups deli turkey, chopped
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder (more if you like it spicier)
  • Optional: cooked pasta

Ingredients.

Directions:

  1. Chop onion.
  2. Chopped onions.

  3. Cook onions in oil until slightly translucent.
  4. Frying onions.

  5. Add other ingredients and stir.
  6. Bring to a high simmer.
  7. Mixing all ingredients together.

  8. Cover and reduce heat.
  9. Cook for 20 -25 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking.
  10. Serve either alone or over a bed of cooked spaghetti.
  11. Bowl of turkey chili.
