Licking lips is often a sign of nausea. There is something wrong. Tell the vet what food your dog is eating and ask what she or he recommends. Make sure your pet has been de-wormed. The vet may also check for the presence of bacterial infection or virus.

Your dog clearly has a problem! Please immediately take him to your vet as these actions may be a result of an infection or disease. The vet can examine and provide the appropriate treatment to help him. The problem will only worsen if you delay helping your friend.
