We have several sets of old encyclopedias and we want to donate them. Who can we contact?
Try the local library, the school library, nursing homes, and possibly just put it up for "free to pick up" on Craigslist in your area.
Good luck to you if you can find ANYONE who will take those. Nobody wants old encyclopedias any more. You may have to recycle them. These are now considered dinasours which is unfortunate.
People are starting to alter books as a cheap way to scrapbook. They may want them if they are for a mimial cost or free.
You might ask any missionary organization you know. We caught an encyclopedia set on FreeCycle last year, and contacted our church. They were more than happy to take them for their Philippine faith-based school.
Where can I donate my full set of World Book Encyclopedia brought in 1984?

Put an ad on a local Freecycle or Buy and Sell, and see if any one wants them. Some artists use them for art projects, and craftspeople make lamps and such out of them. You could contact groups such as Scouts or Guides or the like to see if they might want them for some sort of craft. Perhaps the art department in a school, for use in altered book projects. You can not donate them to the Salvation Army, Good Will, or other Thrift Shops.
