My family and I request movies online at our library. When they are in, they call me. I can keep them for a week for free. This saves time and money.

Frugal Trips To The Movies
I bought this large purse at a garage sale that works perfect for storing your snacks and drinks in. We never go to the new release shows, because they soon will be out at Dollar Theaters. My kids and I go to the Dollar Tree and I let them pick out 1 snack.

Theatre Rewards Cards
If you frequent movie theaters regularly, check and see if they have a Movie Rewards program. You get points every time you purchase tickets and when you get enough points, you get something free like popcorn, a drink or a free movie ticket.

Drive-In Movies
If you have a drive-in movie theatre near you it can be a fun and relatively inexpensive way to see a movie as a family. The ticket price can be similar to seeing a movie in a theatre, but most drive-ins have no problem with you bringing in your own snacks and some even allow you to barbecue before the show.

DVD Subscription Services - Use It Or Lose It
Movie subscription services like Netflix can be a great deal, but only if you use them. Keep track of how many movies you receive from them each month and divide that by the monthly service fee. Makes sure you are actually getting a good deal.
